St. Anne Park Pop-Up Community Garden

A pop-up community garden at St. Anne Park launched on June 5.

Jasper Place Wellness Centre/Food4Good is overseeing the garden at 153 Street and 102 Avenue. Anyone from the community who wants to take part in the garden can help plant any Wednesday at 11 a.m. from June until September to tend the plants and share the harvest.

The harvest will be split evenly between anyone who comes on Wednesdays. If somebody walks by the garden and want to take some veggies, that’s okay too. This garden is meant for everyone. There are NO individual plots at this garden. Everyone will work together (while staying two meters apart). The goal is to meet our neighbours, enjoy the sunshine, and grow some tasty food too!

Are you interested to be a part of the garden? Contact Ashley at 780-906-4971 or ashleyT@food4good.ca

JPWC/Food4Good and Stony Plain Road BIA will provide the plants and seeds. The City will water the garden twice per week. Because this is a “pop-up,” the City will also remove all the beds in late September.

Covid-19 Safety:
*Gardeners must bring all their own tools, equipment, gardening gloves, or disinfecting products. There will be no shared tools.
*Maximum 50 people in the park and a minimum 2-metre distance must be kept between people at all times.
*Please put any garbage into the trash bins available at the park.
*There will be no fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides used in the garden
